Stella Robinson Matron's Circle

"Edifying Christ through Benevolent Missions"
The purpose of this auxiliary is to meaningfully involve the Young Christian Women of this church in worthwhile and needed community church projects and activities. This can be achieved in such a manner that each individual can measure their own spiritual growth and development while working at a pace they can be comfortable with.

Membership on this auxiliary should offer each member many exciting challenges and achievements that are out of the norm. This is not an attempt to create "busy work" but rather to provide a direction in which you can work out your soul's salvation and be of service to your fellowman in the process. "Your work should be the work of the church." Wherever you saw Jesus he was ministering to the needy; you serve God by serving your fellowman.  This auxiliary meets the last Saturday of the month at 9:00 a.m. to discuss our charge and responsibility of taking the good name of the church into the hedges and highways and keeping it an honorable and clean name.

PLANS OF THE MATRON CIRCLE:
  • Develop and implement annual programs, projects and activities to effectuate the external involvement of the church in the community. Such activities will include but certainly not be limited to the following:
    • Financial assistance and support for the United Negro College Fund, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and/or the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.
    • Support of programs related to the Congress of Christian Education.
    • Develop a tutorial program for the youth of this community.
